I found out about iRacing through some friends in high school that had the game and also raced out at the local track.

My main hobby is racing.
Once a year, for the last 30 years, I knock the dust off of my trumpet and perform the National Anthem at the Chili Bowl Nationals in Tulsa, OK, on Saturday night. That is a very big honor for me!
I started racing 3-wheelers when I was 14 and have either been racing (3 & 4 wheelers, micro midgets, imca modifieds) or been involved in racing at multiple levels (from building car to being tech inspector and race director) ever since. I do currently tune injection systems for many micro sprint teams with the team of car owner Justin Blevins and driver Chris Andrews being my main team involvement/customer.
My son Benjamin left for the Navy right out of high school which ended our time of being able to race together. He joined the Iracing scene and recently convinced me to get involved in it with him so we could once again race “together.” I have currently been attempting it for about a month.
My rig is pretty low budget and simple. My wheel and pedals are Logitech g27, on loan from a good friend of mine, and I have a single 34” curved Spectra monitor all sitting on an antique desk that my fiancé put in our bedroom.

Have worked as a licensed pipe fitter, plumber, gas fitter and pneumatic technician out of Local 67 in Hamilton for many years.
I have spent my last 21years working for the Hamilton Police as their Facilities Technician. I have now been retired for 4 years .
Family- We are very fortunate that our 3 children ( 2 boys & a daughter) all married, live fairly close to us so we get to visit them and our 5 grand daughters ( Three are 7 years old and two are 4 years old) quite often. They sure give us so much joy and laughter in our lives.
Hobbies- My wife and I have always enjoyed hiking and walking.
I also play pickle ball, took up acrylic landscape painting, cruising and working on ( with my son) my 1967 Chevy 11 Nova ( owned 28 years ) and now iRacing.
As far as a racing background I always enjoyed watching the many types of car racing ( oval, road and drag racing ) but never had the opportunity to drive or work on one of these cars. The only experience I had was racing slot cars. ( don,t think I can count that) I’ve certainly always admired the competition and racing on the edge that car racing brings to view.
I found out about iRacing just this year from Gary Taylor who took me over to Roger Craig’s house to see and experience what it was all about . After that I was hooked.
Went out shortly after to purchase what was required ( Thrustmaster TMX Pro,T3PA pedals, 27” Acer monitors and a AMD Ryzen gaming Tower )
Joined iRacing in early March 2020 and quickly found out how much time will be involved to try and become a somewhat competitive and safe driver. My goodness there are a lot of great drivers out there. Hopefully over time I can slowly improve but it is so much enjoyment racing with a group of good people. I admire the dedication and time you have put into your passion to have the knowledge and skills required to be as good as you all are.
