Name: Nick Erskine

As a kid, I grew up watching my dad, Doug Erskine racing minis at Ohsweken speedway.
In 2018 I got to try it out but it didn’t turn out very well. It is challenging being a rookie. Right now I am just iRracing and waiting for a second shot at the real thing.
I work at the Keg Steakhouse and bar
My family is my dad, Doug Erskine (also the 2004 ohsweken ministock champion), my mother Johanne and my brother Bradley
My hobbies include racing ( more of a passion than a hobby), bowling, golfing, fishing.
I started out as a fan and was always around the track every year. My first ever race was the mechanics race back in 2017 for the ministocks at Ohsweken. The following year I gave the ministocks a try with my dad's old mustang. Never made the feature but did manage to lead a lap during a heat race. Now I’m just waiting to be able to give it a second shot when ever the track opens.
I never really thought of iRacing before but I heard that Ohsweken was getting involved in it and then I got a text from Adam Ross asking if I had it. I didn’t at the time but it lead me into buying the set. I believe it was early March when I ordered everything. My original set up was a steering wheel attached to a table and a computer hooked up to my tv.
Had my first race at Eldora and I ended up taking a few people out. Over time got used to it. I have been iRacing now for about 4 months.
My current rig consists of a wheel stand which I bolted to a home made racing seat (basically a wooden box with an old office chair screwed into it). My steering wheel is a G29 which is attached to the stand. My pedals are also on it. I have an old gaming pc my cousin gave me and my monitor is a 50” flat screen tv. I am looking into getting VR.
My current plan is to share a ministock ride with my dad when the track opens. I will also be doing a lot of iRacing in my free time,
