Mike Westbrook Memorial - Knoxville Nationals

We are pleased to announce that the Coast2Coast Racing League Charity Race for this season will be “The 5th Annual Mike Westbrook Memorial - Knoxville Nationals for the Steve King Foundation”.

• $15 for current League members.
• $20 for non league members with an iR below 3000.
• 100% of Registration fees go to the Steve King Foundation.  Feel free to donate more.  
• Open Setup 360’s.
• All races at Knoxville Speedway.
• A 4 Day Event using the Knoxville Nationals Scoring system.
• The Event will be open for up to 100 Drivers.
• All Races will be Broadcast.

SCHEDULE

QUALIFYING NIGHTS

• All Drivers will be assigned to one of the 2 Qualifying Nights.
• Order of Events: Hot laps, Individual Qualifications, 5 Heats, C Main, B Main, 25 lap A Main.
• Qualifications - 200 points are awarded for quick timer, 198 for second quick, 196 for third, etc.
• Heats - 100 points are awarded for the heat race winner, points go down by three for each position: 97, 94, 91, 88, etc.
• Heats are inverted by 8. This sets up the best racing of the week. The top four finishers go to A Main, the balance go to the B&C Mains.
• C Main - Top four finishers go to the back of the B. Fifth place is worth 92 pts., 6th is 90, etc.
• B Main - The top four finishers transfer to the tail of the A. The B awards 142 points for fifth, 140 for sixth and so on by twos.
• A Main - The A Main points are the same as time trials: 200, 198, 196 etc. This explains how a driver can not make the A, but if he timed well may have more points than someone who did make the A. The invert for the A Main is eight.
• First tie breaker is the finish position in the respective main event.  Next tie breaker is ranked in the time trial. The third tie breaker is pill draw. 
• A perfect score (quick time, heat win, feature win) is 500.
• The top 16 in combined points from the 2 Qualifiers are locked in to Thursday's Championship A Main.
• 17th-26th in points are awarded the first 10 positions in the Thursday B Main.

* POLE SHUFFLE.  

Each of the races will have four cars and be four laps.

*First Race will be drivers who finished 7th to 10th in points in Qualifiers. Top 2 will advance.

*Second Race, front row will be drivers who finished P5 & P6 in points in Qualifiers, with the two drivers moving on from the first race in Row 2 (Winner inside, 2nd outside).

*Third Race front row will be drivers who finished P3 & P4, in points in Qualifiers, with the two drivers moving on from the second race in Row 2 (Winner inside, 2nd outside).

*Fourth Race front row will be drivers who finished P1 & P2 in points in Qualifiers, with the two drivers moving on from the third race in Row 2 (Winner inside, 2nd outside).

*Winner of the fourth race will earn the pole in the Championship Feature.

"HARD KNOX" Event:

The top 4 finishers from the Hard Knox A-Main will earn the 21-24 starting spots in Thursday's A Main. This is where the term “Making the A Main the Hard Knox way” comes from.  Qualifying, Heats, Main’s and the Hard Knox 25 lap A Main.

KNOXVILLE NATIONALS FINALS presented by FLATLINE RACING BODIES

• 10 lap E Main (if necessary)
• 12 lap D Main (if necessary)
• 15 lap C Main 
• 22 lap B Main 
• 47 lap Knoxville Nationals for Mike Westbrook Memorial Championship “A” Main.

These will be separate iRacing sessions.  Caution laps don't count for all sessions.  The B, C, D, and E Main will take the top four finishers to the tail of the next event. The top four finishers from the B Main will earn the 17-20 starting spots in the 47 lap A Main.

In addition, a P27 Provisional will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to the Steve King Foundation.

Coast2Coast Racing League is a 17 Division iRacing League that has raised over $34,000 to date for various charities.
